Check out this... http://www.shipais.com/currentmap.php?map=livbayIt's a real time ais ship plotter showing you exactly where all the vessels are in Liverpool Bay. You can click on them for details. Ships over 300 ton are required to broadcast position to comply with maritime safety laws. Go to home and the whole country is covered.

Fantastic!! Thank you for that link. I often watch the ships go out and wonder where they go and where they come from.
Sounds quite sad, but I love watching them "disappear into the wall" in Liverpool and be guided out by the tugs. Oh to be able to drive (not sure that's the right description of what you do with a tug) one of the tugs!
I love living on the front lol.

I'm having a field day with this  I can look on the screen then look out of my window and see the ships!

Great site  i can listen to Mersey Radio (156.600MHZ) and get the weather on (156.450MHZ) and now i can see where the ships actually are when the Coastal station talks to the ships
