my excuse is i live so near - its as far as i could push a pushchair when kids were littler - I used to look forward to coming home though as it was all down hill.
I guess its a cheap day out - for ages my little girl wouldn't go in the cafe as they always had balloons up and she was scared of them (or anything that went bang - fireworks, crackers etc). Used to scream her head off. She's fine now though - one of those annoying kids that drags their sticky fingers down the side of a balloon - hate that noise.
Think thats the shaft to the top of the hill, though I know the place of where the Boundary Road vent shaft is and to be honest I can't see the tunnels stretching that far going by the plan of the tunnels.

i was underneath with wheels whilst mark and other members were on the top shouting and stamping, we can confirm its on the top of the hill
that or it was the eerie sounds of lost kiddies who never found their way out haha, yeah just as I though, that shaft is too high to an exit anywhere else but on the of t'hill
is there a house next to the obsevatory, cos i've been told that there is a lift that takes you under ground but once you get to the ground floor you are greated by 2 security guards minding you don't go any where near a door down there. that came from a bt engineer. dunno how true it is like
