Cheers, Chris.

I just wish I'd listened more to my Mum & Dad when they were relating life way back when. Quality times. Sad thing is, I didn't ask enough questions or maybe didn't listen to the answers carefully enough. Ho.hum.

Chris. No problems with snow for your journey north tomorrow - it doesn't stick to permafrost ! Was out with some mates last night. Managed to snare a Haggis (yes, I know it's off season). We will eat well. I've lined up a half of shandy for us to share as well. Hell... let's PARTY !!

I'm having a bit of trouble getting all the booze into the rather small boot of the Volvo 480, but if I leave out that CD I was going to bring for you, I might just manage. Oh, and will I have to pay import duty when I cross the border?

Cheers, Chris.

Import Duty. You should be OK on a Monday. The guards are still usually hung over from the weekend. They'll just wave you through. Any trouble, roll up one trouser leg, give the funny handshake and you'll be fine !!

Just a thought. Best NOT to mention you are seeing me. Something to do with an unfortunate incident with the Customs when they found that copper cylinder with all the curly pipework over a peat fire on the hill. They just wouldn't accept I was only making alchohol for paint thinners for family and friends! SWINES !

Haggis should be hung for about a week before cooking. Enhances the flavour. Go easy with that shandy as well, especially if you are using half lemonade and half malt. Even more care should be taken if using the wink wink whistle paint stripper. Don't forget passports and visas. laugh

I used to work in the COOP on Wood Church Rd I was second man on the bacon slicer. I do not rememeber much about the CO-OP and I don't think my mum had a divi. We had all the shops we needed on Borough Rd opposite Christ Church Claughton.

What if anything does the "C H" on the shop cover stand for?

I could bore you to tears with the life history of that bus, but the CH emblem isn't energising anything in the old swede ! Sorry.

errr.. it's sort of er.. a yellow coloured thingy and er..mmm it's got a wheel shaped do-dah in each corner and every now and again it goes "ding-ding". It's a bit difficult to spot at first glance, but it's sort of right of centre in the pic.

There's a good offer on at Specsavers this month !!
