i know this forum is about the wirral but i have a question which has been on my mind for 10yrs, in the old Liverpool Museum wheb they had trains in the basement i would like to know how they got down there? my theory is that there was tunnel in the loop into the basement of the museum and when they got all the trains they blocked the tunnel off

The level of the "Land Transport" section was the same as the back door/goods entrance which was off Scotty Road. Due to the the museum being on a gradient (William Brown St.), the "Ground Floor" is already up in the air. You went down one flight of stairs to the Land Transport in the "basement", but in reality, you are going down to the real ground level.
Does any of that make sense ??
That was always my first port of call. It was great to see the Overhead Motor Coach. Brought the memories back.
