Looking to buy some silver bars. Not looking for anything fancy just pure silver bars to hold for investment.
Where would you guys recommend to go and buy in the Wirral?
Thanks

Buy metal from bullion dealers not retail, you won't find proper bullion dealers in the Wirral, or better still buy commodities rather than actual metal. Look at the huge gap between buy and sell price (40%+), you have to make that gap up before you break even.
I've never come across anyone apart from dealers that make a significant profit out of silver. I've had some lucky finds with silver cutlery but overall it probably didn't pay for my time and fuel, something like £200 up over ten years, I'd have made much more with copper.
With actual items-in-my hand I've made most money out of US dollars and BNIB classic car parts. I have some car parts that I bought in an Amazon sale for £30 twelve years ago and they fetch around £200 now (£250 retail), when the retail stocks run out the price could go above £500 easily, I didn't buy them as an investment.
