2 of the pubs, numbers 350 and 351, where both on the corners of Waterloo Place and Chester Street. With you back to Chester Street looking into Waterloo place. The Shakespeare was on the left hand corner and the Prince Alfred on the right hand corner.I use to drink in the Shakespear in the early 1960s. Had many a stay behind after closing time in those days. The manager was a mate of one of my mates hence the stay behinds. Thats a good list you have got.

The Letters in Chester Street was on the corner of St Mary's Gate and Chester Street. The Lord Napier in St Pauls Road, there was a bloke murdered there, some time between 1970 and 2000. does any one remember it

Can anybody tell me the name of the pub opposite Seacombe Ferry which was demolished in the 1970's? I think locally it was nicknamed "Breezes". Thanks

Okay ive added a good handful more which ive updated in the index page for the pubs. Feel free to add story's photos experiences about the pubs we have listed, it all adds to our history. any names and dates would be great, landlords names. Why it closed / demolished ? was it a good pub to visit. Big thanks to derekdwc for starting the ball rolling on this one

The list was provided by derekdwc, i'm merely the middle man. If anything is a Great Starter, were already adding to it. As Uptoncx is doing he's making the topic prefixing with the next number in the list. If you can remember any of the names parkgater just post them in this topic with what ever details you can remember and we can get them added to the list
