Theres a topic just posted on DW where everyone posts their old cars. I reckon its a good idea.
Ill start eh
My first car was a mk1 Cortina with a 1600gt engine, sorted suspenion, brakes, 4 speed box etc. I bought it when i was 17, did loads of worjk on it but i never got it on the road and my Dad has it now and hes fully restored it for the new year.
Then i got my first car on the road. A 1967 Triumph Vitesse 2 litre. Brilliant little car and id love another and it was even pretty nippy but it eventually fell to the dreaded rustworm and i sold it on to a guy who lived next door to the old Factory in Coventry where it was built.
Whilst i was out looking for a new toy my Dad borrowed me his 1968 MK2 Cortina 1300 Deluxe. It was great fun, it had a gt carb, 4-2-1 manifold and a few other odds n sods sitting on Lotus steels. It skidded like nothing id ever driven before or since but ultimately lacked power. Idve liked to have kept it and with the 1660 pistons and twin 40's i had lying around turned into a bit more of a weapon, but instead i used it as a part ex on my next car and swapped my MK1 for my Dads MK2 to pay for it.
Next i had my first properly fast car. I was looking on ebay for a 24v motor for the MK1 Cortina and came across this.... A 1962 Ford 100e Popular with a 2.1 Pinto and 5 speed box. The engine was pretty worked, roughly 150bhp and it was far from slow, i regularly drove to work at 120mph every day (on a private road of course), but i got used to it and got bored.
Then i got a ride in a 430 brake 2 door cossie and it changed my life. I had to have a turbo of some variety. As i said, this car popped up and i had to have it. I love my stripped out race cars and this was already gutted. Plus it was a none custom aswell, so no sunroof or leccy windows.

Some one likes old skool Fords, I know of an Anglia at the moment getting a full body make over, and a 3.5 V 8 fitted to it.
My first car, but no picture was a 1.3 Escort (MK5b 'L' plate), then I had a Astra 1.6 16V ('P' plate GLX), Then a BMW 325i ('R' Plate), all with no pictures.
My current car is a Escort Si, and I've had this the longest out of any of my 'owned' cars.
This was our first car, bought in 1997 - it was an automatic lol. I remember how the kick-down was just an expression as it made no difference to the speed uphill, especially on the A38 Devon Expressway where there's a big hilly bit. Sold it to a guy in Shepshed.
This we bought from 3 Counties and it was a fairly good car. Moved to a bigger one as we couldn't get all our camping gear in this one, plus a baby!
Then we part-ex'd it for this at Lewis Reed. This felt like luxury after a Fiesta!
I wish we hadn't got rid, but we wanted a diesel, so now we have a Picasso.
this was my 1st car... ford escort mk6 1.6 lx. which got scraped then ford esort GTi (still got) then a bought a mkl ford mondeo 2.0 lx. which scott raged all the way home from southport an I dident even get to drive it... riped the engine out of it an scrped the shell.
Oh the shame - my first car was a pink Robin Reliant called Pig. Loved her to bits, would have another one tomorrow!! After that came Scully - a brown Talbot Samba, 1.1, 3 door hatchback with 4 speed manual gearbox
After that came bikes!
