yes it can be you have to send it off to america to get fixed but i know a couple of people that fixes xboxs

I have hear that you can start up the xbox wrapped in a towel, this apparently reattaches the processor to the motherboard by melting the solder.
Obviously do this at your own risk, but what have you got to loose if your Xbox is knackered anyway.
There are videos of this fix on you tube.

Ermmm....I think you can get one from the game shop or currys but you'd have to ask

I have just got mine back, Go to xbox.com, see if your warrenty is still valid (3 years) then get in touch. Its really easy, im stupid when it comes to stuff like this and i got it right first time and it didnt cost a penny.
