Sorry I didnt get back earler,it seems we have a large stubborn taurus baby, who won't leave. Still waiting now. as for the power supply, Out of all of them, I have nothing above 19V. If you are desperate...there is a guy does tranmere carboot every sunday. sells computers and stuff is always on the back row, split over two tables, and he has a big storage box full of laptop power leads. you will need to tell him its 20v 3.25A 65W, He charges between 10-15 quid, compared to a new one at about 30.... or you can pick one up on ebay, but its still going to be 15 quid or more with the postage. sorry I couldnt help Phill

Thanks anyway Phil. The same laptop has a cracked screen aswell, so to fix that aswell as a new power lead is going to be between £100-£150, might be best biting the bullet and getting a whole new laptop, albeit bottom of the market features but its only used for web browsing and photo storage/viewing.

funny - our fujitsu siemens amilo is in exactly the same state as your's. though the power cable has stopped misbehaving now. Still gets dead hot. We just never leave it plugged in if we're out lol Screen ain't too bad - crack is livable despite pixels dying every day. But the kids have claimed it as there's so someone's happy with it

if the screen is really knackered and the power lead too, I can probably offer you some cash for it, rather than you chuck it, or (as i often do...) keep it for a couple of years, then chuck it..... let me know if you are interested... Phill

Exactly Ste, £17.50 for a brand new one was the cheapest I've found, so was just wondering if any Wiki Members had a spare one that they can let go for cheaper than this. put your hand in your pocket Waddster, surley £20 aint gonna break the bank ffs
