I remember 'Mad Dave' ,(not Divvy Dave) ,around Bebington in the late sixties , seventies and possibly early eighties.
Dave used to live in Acreville Road and spent a lot of his time by the shops at Beb station collecting bus numbers. I think that's the same fella. Was the New Ferry Hell's angel called Chopper?

How about Jingles, or Billy the Tramp as he was also known. Billy ain't a tramp He lives on Mayer Ave just off Cross Lane - I think with his sister. Quite a friendly bloke (for a deaf mute) always happy to exchange a 'thumbs up'. You're right that he did used to stand at the shops jingling his coins in his pocket.

Anyone seen that bloke who is always standing on the pavement between Sainsbury's in Upton and Landican cemetary? He's got a brown coat and a brown hat on and always facing the wall, smoking a rolly. I've seen him nearly everytime I pass, even when it was bitterly cold through the snow.
I wonder what these people are like 'out of character'?

I remember about 1995 there used to be a dirty looking woman who looked like a man.She obviousy had mental issues as she would go into the phonebox opposite Argyle taxis and repeatedly punch herself in the face, then call the police and claim assault.I worked over the road and she would do it about once a week. She wore a leather coat and mirrored sunglasses no matter what the weather was like.

I always guessed "Landican Man" gets the bus between Upton and Landican, because I have never seen him on the stretch by the old Champion Sparks to the Hospital.
He started off on the side of Landican on Woodchurch Rd for quite a long time but suddenly moved on to the front of Landican.
