When all is said and done I do agree if you feel threatened in any way you should be able to make your way to a place of safety - public place or police station.
Wasn't there a thing by the police not too long ago about advising young ladies breaking down on the motorway on safety

And - could we be possibly missing a point here, given that the guy who got robbed (apparently) really (yes really) THOUGHT he was being pulled over by the Police - EVEN THOUGH (as has been said) the perps didn't even have blue flashing lights on? The point being, if someone can (evidently!) be so easily fooled into thinking it was the plod pulling them over WITHOUT any blue lights etc, then imagine how many people would be fooled into stopping IF they HAD've had blue lights on??
MOST people are, after all is said and done, quite trusting by nature (yes even of the wicked old po-lice!) and really don't expect to be robbed by (who they think is) the Police...
I personally really do think it's not a matter of IF, it's more a matter of WHEN something like (or worse than) this WILL happen to someone in the UK. Esp. with all the sex offenders out there (not to mention the financial crunch dragging on and on...)
But then, I'm not poultry! LOL (yes JOKE was INTENDED - for the humour-impaired!!!)
