are there any photos of the brass cash holders that used to wizz up with the money.then come down with the receipt and change.

The co-op in Woodchurch Road had this system in when I was a kid. Was fascinated by the little carriers whizzing up and down the wires. All the wires from various counters ended up at the central cash desk at the back of the shop. Came whizzing back again with your change and your divi ticket with your share number. 82755 imprinted on my brain for all time now !

Didn't they have the system in the Co-op HQ in Catherine Street, where you collected the divi? Our number was 40352!

I think there was the Lamson system in the co-op in Bebington as well.

I don't remember one in the Bromborough Road branch, No.57. It was a bit small for that technology!
