Its very sad indeed. Our Admin woman said that the demolition started Wed afternoon last week. At this rate i reckon the remaining bit of the structure wont be there next week! I was surprised at how little rubble there appeared to be in comparison to the size of the building? Im assuming that the jcb driving all over the rubble 'compresses' it??

another fine old building ends up in rubble! so sad to see all these old buildings with a history going!
That is why it is important that everyone takes photographs of the surrounding area. You never know when old buildings are demolished suddenly, or, which is the usual practice on the Wirral, they are burnt to the ground.
Copy the pics on 'Street View' for how it was! I remember in the '40s-'50s, going to school, looking over the high wall from the top deck of the 51 bus and wondering what dramas were going on in there.
