I said I know that all things about police like that are looked at by the IPCC, what I was saying was is that I think it's a load af bollocks and a waste of money, we know what happened and with it having the word complaint in it implies that someone has complained.
Whats wrong with having a panel of 3 people, an ex police officer, a solicitor and a member of the public to review things to see if if procedures where followed correctly, they could the recommend things they feel could have been done better.
Without actual footage from an officer on scene I would not belive anything that is said to me. So much stuff is blagged these days and people can be paid off or threatend.
Wheels I agree with that, still believe it is a complete waste of money the IPCC, I do believe that Moat took his own life whether that's him doing the right thing or being a coward I don't care.

Do we?
I wasn't there, so I don't know if they had an officer there who had just had enough of the rain and the wait and pulled the trigger so he could get it over with and go home for a pint!
This time maybe, perhaps just maybe, it doesn't really matter, the outcome serves the public purse.
But maybe next time he's pissed off with the wait in the rain for an armed person to put down his weapon the person mightn't have shot anyone and just be threatenning suicide for whatever reason!
Thats a bit like saying, I wasn't there when the Queen mum died so is it true, I wasn't there when the car crashed so did it.
Weird, he was nutter, most people presumed he would either take his own life or the american way of death by cop.
Do people really feel this needs looking at by the IPCC ?
Surely a complaints commission should deal with complaints and that is my main point. The rest I have said over and over again so in short.
1) I have sympathy for innocent people caught up and affected. 2) The idiot is dead and that saves us money. 3) This ran and ran for a week so he had time to think what his next move would be, he knew he needed food, to hide, to set up a camp so I DO NOT believe he had lost his mind. 4) No more money should be wasted on this idiot, there is no point.

I think its (voluntarily) going to the IPCC because the police were formally warned of his intentions when he left prison but it still wasn't prevented.
