Like many folk I have both IE (8) and Firefox on my machines. Firefox is the default and used 95% of the time but IE is retained because there are a few sites that will only work properly with that browser.
Never had a problem with this over quite a long time
Today on ONE machine (two others are fine) if I open IE8 - no initial problem ie it opens at the expected page - but THEN try to open ANY of the listed "favourites"
- then THAT will open in Firefox !!!
I have even gone to the extent of configuring IE8 so that it is the default browser - but still when I open any of the 'favourites' - or type any known web address into the IE8 command line - then the ****** thing opens in Firefox
Confused Any pearls of wisdom to cast in my direction?

Weeeee - that sounds to be JUST what I need.
It is (for me) a bit later to have a go at that tonight - I will leave it until tomorrow when hopefully I am a bit more alert.
Presuming it works it does however beg the question
WHY did this problem only arise today??? Earlier in the afternoon I was happily changing between Firefox and IE8 and they both behaved as normal
I will let folk know what happens
