Not sure if this has been done before, part of our cinema history was Pathe News, before TV was popular and in everyone's house this was a way for the people to see news events around the world. Click the link http://www.britishpathe.com/ I found by putting Birkenhead in the search bar, it came up with very interesting little films.
God help us, Come yourself, Don't send Jesus, This is no place for children.

Being as the misses works in local retail, she grabbed me the full set of Pathe giveaways from the Daily Mail last week (or week before), its a seven DVD set covering all the news from 1939-1945. A really good watch I have a spare 1939 if anyone would like it as a sampler!
