Hi Guys,
I know there's a lot of people on this site interested in the work that archaeologists are doing relating to Wirral and its Viking past.
Time to repay the favour if you can spare five minutes!
"Raiders and Traders" a research project on the Viking impact in Britain is up for the Research Project of the Year hosted by Current Archeology Magazine.
http://archaeologyawards.org/2011/research-project-of-the-year.htmHere's the link, so feel free to read all the entries and vote for your favourite, but mine is most certainly the Viking work. There's an online copy of all the research here:
http://www.currentpublishing.com/2011/research-project/Vikings are page 26 onwards, and much of the publishing has come from stirling work from top Wirral archaeologists such as Dave Griffiths and Genetic research by Steve Harding who are both passionate supporter of Wirral's Viking heritage as well as all round nice guys.
Hope you can all vote, and pass this on to interested friends and family.
Cheers,
Dean
