Must have been just before they moved to NB then. They caused such misery in their time spent here, including cutting the fuel pipes on mine and neighbours cars. The idiots had a tray that they placesd under the cars but, ended up mixing diesel with petrol. The police found them hiding behind a hedge. They followed the strong smell of fuel that they had on their clothes.

i lived on the ford from 69 (1 year old )till about 83 .first we where in deeside close and then moved to arley close when i was about 8 i think ,we where a big family 7 kids ,my older brother became a smack head and we had to move because me mum and dad didnt want the rest of us falling the same way .but i loved the place ,hated moving to tranmere, though the house was great ,got punched the first day up there for nothing by some knob so spent all my time back down on the ford .yes it was bad sometimes but that was the minority alot of my old mates have never moved off and have settled down there as parents and hopefully there kids are enjoying it as much we did .oh yes and i was part of fabb which stood for first ave boot boys and alls we ever did was play football and alio and the sweeney not really bad boy stuff lol

the ford was great grew up there and it was brilliant We moved into Airdale Close in March 68. Brilliant times as a kid, the place was still being built. We used to play in the half built houses and maisonettes, or make our own dens with bricks. Playing footie in Manor County, 15-20 aside with grownups joining in, used to get people from the first to fifth aves.

If you went to the back I painted my initials underneath my bedroom window. I can remember nearly all the occupants of Airdale, and most of Arley but some are escaping me now( old timers disease)

I think your brother is thinking of the lad who lived at No5, he had 5 or 6 sisters. By Ravo is your brother thinking of Graham, or Phil? I'm the same age as Phil, who we called Figaro. I think I may drive up there some time to see the old place, especially my initials, it must be about 40 years ago I painted them!
