Can you narrow the location down a bit from 'outside'?

Bloody old drivers grrrrrrrr, I remember when my ancient neighbour came home and couldnt get out of his car as he'd smashed into a big red fire engine, was fun hammering his door straight though to get him out!

As a 68 year old car and motorbike driver myself (Landy and BMW650) I will respectfully remind you that YOU WILL GET THERE ONE DAY yourself.
No individual ever thinks they have reached a point where their driving skills are suspect - well, maybe eventually but most then self-compensate by driving less, at quieter times and for shorter distances. My 93 year old mum comes into that category. I guess she will not drive much more - down to about 5 miles a week now (max)
Similarly, without being too disrespectful to bus drivers who generally do a difficult job with a lot of hassle I have also seen SOME who should be OFF the road because of their arrogant attitude. In the last year I have unfortunately had reason to make a lot of visits to Arrowe Park and the way SOME bus drivers swing in off the access road to the bus stop at the end of the car park leaves a lot to be desired. Personally I think the problem there is that there is 2 way traffic along the piece of road where the bus stop is located. Buses turning right and swinging into that road have to turn sharply. Visitors who have entered the hospital site via the lower car parks are often trying to turn right OUT of that same piece of road in order to get access to the main car parks next to the main entrance.

Nothing here says it wasn't the bus driver's fault, either - so you can't just assume that because the car driver is 68 years of age, it's automatically his fault...

I know I know, I feel there should be a test in place for everyone every 10 or so years, aimed at all ages and genders. I just see alot of elderly drivers that are so close to death because they wont take advantage of their free buss pass and use public transport. I've seen it twice in one week, two old men waiting at lights to turn left, the lights turn, they turn the corner then stop as the lights for the cars behind them are on red they stop causeing a huge jam. These are but a few of the things i've seen elderly do.
Im not trying to say that the wizer population should be banned, just tested...like an eye test!

Yes!!! I'm definitely with Snod. I think you should check out some of the hairbrained, pathetic driving which some young drivers exhibit. They seem to think they're invinsible and king of the road (read arrogant and rude) and very presumptive too I might add.

It's easy to do a test and then go back to your old way of driving once it's out of the way. An oldie going slow is going to cause less damage than some young rip shit with his foot down on the boards, fact. Just because someone is driving carefully doesn't mean that they are too old to drive safely, just ask the insurance people. That's why a young 'un has such high premiums, they are a greater risk. Do the math.
