I was walking past Marine Point last week thinking to myself how pleasant that place could be, I read there were a number of licensed premises applications, restaurants and bars overlooking the lake. Wonderful.
Then I remembered where we were and the sorts of people who would be sitting on the terraces of an evening. Shame.
Tatey, Bert, Bandy, Chriskay, myself and a few other mature Wiki Gentlemen regularly frequent Miss Millicent Grope's Refined Tea Rooms in New Brighton for the Sunday Tea Dances. An occasional glance at the waitresses exposed ankles (Maude and Nora have been known to hold your hand behind the aspidistra) makes for a lively afternoon ! Bert dropped the sugar tongs when he overheard a "lady" on the next table mention pantaloons ! Bandy's monocle is always steaming up when Millicent is behind the Cash Desk.
Sooooooo Tatey, don't worry about not knowing about Nando's. I'm presuming it's some sort of modern dance. We'll hear it on the Light Programme on the wireless sometime maybe ?
