its not cider its fermented corn syrup. Yuk. 3 points for flicking a cig out the window! Yes, it was some new law that came out a while back, anyone caught throwing litter from car windows risks getting a fine and points on their driving licence.

liverpool have got the right idea they have plenty of bins available with the place on top to stump them out, if this was sped up in wallasey it would make a big difference, not thast all will follow the rules, it drives me mad at ashville when i see people not using the sand bin a few steps away ? as for the dog shitting, some horrible git walks his dog around ashville which is private property and allows it to shit on the pitch. an air rifle will be soon issued to shoot the owner and the dog if seen trespassing.....be warned haha You know why there aren't enough bins? Because they're all in New Ferry. There's so many bins that the Ferry should be like a hospital theatre, instead it's still a shit hole. Down any alley way you bags full of Lager cans, and scratchcards strewn all over the place! I seen a fella that kinda resembled bob Marley sitting on the bench outside tesco express in seacombe this morning with a blue bottle of frosty jacks swigging from it while people were taking kids to school. On way back from petrol station he had gone and had left said bottle empty under the bench. Seacombe is a shithole son, worse than new ferry! !!!!

I dont know what the hell is wrong with people, are personal remarks about people really necessary? I have to say from personal experience that Angela is one of the hardest working MPs anywhere and unlike some others who I wont mention she actually cares about her constituents and doesnt just nod and shake her head in the right places, she actually gets out to her surgeries and does her job.
Not only that but during the expenses scandal she was also in the lowest 5% in the country, and yes I am a Labour party voter and bloody proud of it! all this 'we're in it together' is rubbish, none of them on the Government front bench have a clue they dont call it 'millionaire's row' for nothing!

I am a smoker myself - and to be honest I agree with the fines. I don't like to see fagbutts, or any type of litter on the floor...it makes Britain look unkempt just like all these benefit frauds your complaining about. Yes granted it is easier for me to just flick it on the floor, but now I dont, and it makes me appreciate things more.
As for the above comment - I can't comment. Apart from - how can you see it as acceptable that she was a part of the 'lowest 5%' in the country....she shouldn't have been a % at all.....just my opinion!

I agree with most of what you say, Handbag. All my family have been Labour voters and my Grandad used to be a Councillor for Speke. This present government doesn't have a clue about how most people live. But then this is the Conservative party after all so the probably don't care anyway. Look at the systematic destruction of the mining communities in the 1980s. Decent, hardworking families thrown on the scrapheap by the Tories. One of the problems with Eagle though is she exemplified the worst of New Labour under Brown and Blair. This was basically just a continuation of Tory policy. They did little or nothing for Wallasey or the Wirral. When did Eagle ever stand up to Brown or Blair? When did she ever demand a reverse of Thatchertie policies? As a socialist it was only my comtempt for the Tories that made me vote for Eagle in 2010. And I think that was the same for many people in Wallasey.

I am a floating voter, I have voted for all three main paties in general elections over the years. I have never voted for a Labour member in local elections however as I just seem to get the impession that they don't offer good 'value for money' in terms of delivering local services.
As regards Angela Eagle, I would have to concur that she never seems to stick up for the interests of the local electorate, especially if it conflicts with the party line.
She writes a column for the Wallasey News and never does it highlight any local issues, she just uses it as a forum for criticising the national Government.

Didn't know that cheap strong cider was fermented corn syrup.
Angela Eagle is an underachiever, she's done absolutely nothing apart from the odd lip service for a closing library when required. I hope she can take criticism, she's lazy.
I always used to flick my butts out of the window in the car, I don't now though. I've always put them in the bin when I'm out - you can time the end of the cig with passing a bin. There seems to be a problem with rubbish in the Wirral, and everywhere else, I think it's that people like to pick on smokers. Eg: any car park with a McDonalds in.
