A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found amongst undergrowth near a Wirral observatory.

Police officers made the grim discovery near to the Grade II listed Bidston Hill observatory following a phone call from a concerned member of the public.

The body of the victim, believed to be in her late teens and yet to be formally identified, was found at around 5.30pm on Saturday amongst the acres of undergrowth within the nature area's protected rare heathland.

An 18-year-old man from Moreton has been arrested on suspicion of murder and he is being questioned by detectives.

Police specialists have attended the scene and officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously on Bidston Hill over the last few days to come forward.

A Home Office post mortem examination to establish the cause of death is expected to take place on Sunday.

I feel very sad for the family godbless them all...

but...to come on this thread complaining about Staffies and people that wear hoods, is ridiculous and brings no bearing on this tragic event whatsoever....

Terrible news. So little recorded in the papers etc.

Both 'special needs' etc.

I guess there's a lot behind this.

Makes me feel guilty for wishing the original suicide prediction were true.
