What about Wallasey school, my daughter attended there and loved it! we went round all the schools and we left the choice to our daughter to choose, Weatherhead was only just open so we thought she would want to go there she chose the furthest one away to were we live, but I am so glad she chose Wallasey school as she did really well and got a good job so proud of her! quite a few of her friends went to weatherhead and said there was a lot of bullying there.
Hope this helps.

Haven't heard about bullying much at Weatherhead but I know once the teachers hear about it in Oldershaw they address it. The teachers are lovely in Oldershaw and most of the kids are happy and, if they show potential are passing their GCSE at 14 in some subjects, 1 year ahead of most other schools. I think this puts Oldershaw a par above the other schools. They encourage kids to be bright and have the results. Unfortunately, the stat tables do not reflect its achievements with 14 year-olds passing GCSEs which is a shame. The non-teaching staff are helpful also.

she chose Wallasey school as she did really well and got a good job so proud of her! one problem with that... i went to mary's and i'm a medical secretary in a community mental health team i had friends who went to mosslands and who are training to be doctors, one's also in the military/armed police. another friend went to oldershaw and is now in the metropolitan police in liverpool but also had a stepsister go to weatherhead and she was a "hair and beauty technician" for about 6 months and is now unemployed... so schools don't necessarily relate to jobs.

Not saying they do relate to jobs, just another choice of school to consider, luckily enough we had no probs with bullies, I cant speak for any one else who went to that school... at the end of the day my personal opinion is if a child feels happy in the school they attend they will do well, like anything in life if your happy then things seem so much easier:)
