Tories....? Labour......? Anyone else....? They are all as bad as each other....
It didn't used to be like this but they all seem to have merged into one right-wing mass. No wonder there's so much apathy across the country.

Just someone a little bit left-of-centre would be a start.
My Grandfather was in the Liverpool Communist Party back in the 1940s.

So your advert has sadly turned into hate of a political party without figuring out who the culprits are, if you think 13 years of Labour control of the NHS has made them so innocent, ask Lord Adonis and the Doctors union why they wanted to group practices into mini hospitals and why they want to group medical expertise in one place only, eggs and basket come to mind and why do they believe that they will save more lives this way and please don't give me the NHS is the finest in the world , how many countries have a similar NHS to this one ,I'm really sad as this could have brought lots of locals to go and show how we feel but I won't be going, call me what you want, we all lose.

People who claim how bad it is that Private Industry is involved in healthcare, who do you think invents, designs, makes and maintains all of the equipment (and the drugs etc) that are used to treat billions of people? The flippin' government? The thousands of NHS "managers"? Get real people, there would BE no healthcare without private industry! How advanced would things like full-color 3D imaging be, if it was up to the government to provide it? And heaven FORBID they should actually make any profit from it, these evil capitalist swine! They should rely on the government to provide all their R&D funds, there! that'd really make it more efficient, now wouldn't it?

There wouldn't be any workers for these companies if the State didn't educate them, keep them healthy, provide infrastructure like roads so they can get to work etc. Companies themselves are able to use this infrastructure to transport goods around their country. Their property, both intellectual and physical, is protected by State in the form of the Police and the legal system. I'm not against private enterprise, or even against making profits. It's just that certain sections of the economy shouldn't be open to profit: healthcare, public transport, energy, education.

I don't really care about which party is currently in Government or other peoples personal political persuasions. But all of us on the Wirral should care about the cardio vascular moving to Chester.
Please turn up on Saturday and show your support, there's still a chance (albeit a small one) that we can stop this.

I don't think that this should be construed as a political issue, as some have noted, most politicians and certainly all parties are as bad as each other. This is simply a matter of right and wrong.

As you seem to be missing my point and at the risk of repeating myself let me make this absolutely clear. 1.This is not my advert it was simply something emailed to me that I thought the good people of WikiWirral should know about. 2. This is Tory policy, nobody elses. I didn't invent it the Tories did. So logically the 'culprits' as you call them would appear to be, yes you guessed it.......Tory ! 3. Opposing this policy has nothing to do with hate or hatred. Understand ? 4.If you read my previous posts you would realize that I am apolitical, which means I am politically neutral. Also,I am on record as saying all parties are as bad as each other. This should tell you that assumptions that I am a Labour (or any other party) supporter are at the best misguided. So, following along logically, why would I think 13 years of Labour control of the NHS has made them so innocent ? Also, I don't have to ask Lord Adonis or the Doctors Union anything because practices are being transfered to 'mini hospitals' right now, today. BTW.....What is it with you and 'hate' ?

Well, i must have my little bit of input. Sorry! Is it correct that it is the Vascular Surgery Unit going to Chester and not the whole Vascular Dept? I have found this document on the internet which would indicate that the whole process has been going on much much longer than the last 2 years. So some may, or may not be climbing the wrong political tree. I did find it hard to believe, that all this could have transpired from the initial proposal within a couple of years. These endeavours take many years to come to completion. Anyway, if I have it wrong, please let me know after you have read the link, and apologise in advance. http://www.gmpublichealthpracticeun...ds/2010/01/2009-Vascular-surgery-012.pdf

Here it is , quote from Liverpool Echo..... A vascular service will still be provided at Arrowe Park, where patients will go their for their first appointments and straight- forward surgery. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...omplex-vascular-surgery-100252-31424207/Personally, if there was a more specialized centre for more serious vascular surgery, I wouldn't be complaining, even if it was much further away, and rather Countess of Chester than the Liverpool Royal. IMOP. Mr McFadden is just a trouble maker. Having said that, so far as Clatterbridge is concerned, that would be a different viewpoint, if they should move the Oncology Centre to Fazakerly..

Thanks, granny, for that piece from the Echo. I must say that when I read the clip in the first post by Stranger, I was suspicious when I saw it was plastered with UNITE logos.
