Hey Derek it doesn`t look like it says "New" Inn above the window. Looks like it ends in "EY"

Does it say "Mersey Inn"?
The photo is definitely of the Mersey Inn at 246 New Chester Road. The name above the door is that of Edward Amos who was the licencee until his death on 24th December 1883.
