Fab pics,we were by the Woodside ventilation shaft,good view of the QM2 & the Queen Vic turning round,couldn't quite see Queen Elizabeth til she moved up river & the noise when the Queen Vic dropped her anchor

Thanks Star.The atmosphere WAS fab Cools, all ages present and lots of dogs too. Everybody was really friendly and helpful to each other.

Heard one little old dear asking a policeman to help her get a taxi to Greasby...adding 'but i could murder a brew first' laugh

Yes have to say ,very good photos, sorry to have 'missed ' you and your family , i was nearer the first 'bit' with the 'steps', did derek show up ..The river was very 'busy' with various shipping vessels ,even canoe's, jet skies , land /water craft as well, good atmos ...The sun came out , in the end..

The atmosphere was good were we were got a few comments on the dog & some even knew what breed she was but it makes me laugh when small kids think she's a wolf

LOL. We left Bertie at home, he would have got over-excited and jumped up at people. He is daft as a brush and wouldn't harm a fly but not everybody knows that, of course.

I hear it was only ever going to be a fly-by as opposed to a display?! They were doing a display in Blackpool.

River festival is next month- 'we' will probably get a proper display then.
