Thanks PVB. Link here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00jn0pw "Neil McCarthy explores the history of the illicit activities of the Wirral peninsula's wreckers, who ransacked Liverpool-bound vessels with notorious ferocity. After the end of the wrecking era, huge crowds came to the Victorian seaside resort of New Brighton, but they too have now gone. Neil tries to discover whether the wild spirit of the wreckers lives on in the area today."

Well if you are talking about the idiots on the Wirral who throw life saving equipment into the river, daub graffiti and damage street furniture, parks, cars, bus stops and shop windows then yes the wreckers are still about.

Yes,still here, they should be getting the same punishments as the "old" wreckers got. Not, " Don't do it again, you naughty boy".
