I got my renewal through the post and it hadn't gone down more than £50. I rang up NU and told them it was insulting and reittrated about ten times NOT to direct debit my account. Then he asked me why I was not going for renewal.. I haven't found a new insurer yet but I know that their price was too high so I'm confident I will get a better quote. I get the feeling to get good deals you have to swap insurers every year or other as they just dont lower the premium along with your age going up/NCB increasing.

2 things reading down this topic.
1st : Liverpool Victoria New / Renewal policy's They do not cover any modifications anymore ? I was with them and have been forced to switch there clamping down. There sales assistant said yep they would at one point insure just about anything, but now they wont.... They will allow Alloys and a Sun Roof but that's it... This isnt to say they may change again in the future. Your insurance could be invalid call them up and check your policy terms and conditions.
--------------
2nd A bit of bumf through the post.
Motor Insurance Warehouse Subject to minimum claim £300 Say with one call they can access 25 insurance brokers for you?
Fast quote 0800 015 92 19
I havent used it but may be useful for someone else.
