Well heres the new runabout. Sold the escort last weekend and used the monies to buy and insure this. Better spending it on another car then dropping it all in the Nissan and never getting any of it back. The cars not mint at all, but its all about go. The most important thing about the whole car is that the head is off a BTCC car. It sucks through 45 Dellorto's and sounds bloody immense. It absolutely, without a doubt, leaves the 200 for dead. Its absolutely relentless. Im in the process of getting a dyno sheet but the last owner assures me of a genuine 220bhp to the fly, 190 to the wheels. It was timed at 0-60 at 5.7 seconds with a full interior and camping gear inside and did a 14 sec quarter, should be good for low 5 seconds and low 13 second quarters, which ill hopefully test sometime this year. Heres a bit of a speclist and a few pictures. Ill take it for the obligatory photoshoot soon and get some nice ones. 1.9 alloy block Longman bottom end longman head & cams from btcc car twin 45 Dellorto's vernier pulleys uprated clutch 1.6 gearbox with quickshift avo coilovers 1.9 brake calipers with new ds2500 pads powerflow exhaust 1.9 speedlines with yoko tyres rear stud conversion suspension geometry and tracking set up by pheonix motorsports My Dads Cortina too.

I notched up my first proper kill this morning. One of those silly Scirocco things. Was a proper 2.0T aswell so im happy about that. Short shifting and he still didnt stand a chance. Felt a bit sorry for him in his 2 door golf really, hes probably just spent more then 10 times the money i did on this.

Get some wider rims and i bet your 200 will give it a better run
Watch out for lift off oversteer in it though
drifting drifting and yet more skidding

I want to fit some drag slicks to the nissan cause ive got some urge to go dragging, then we could see whats its capable of. Thats after the manifold etc though.
I know about the rep for lift off oversteer but it doesnt seem to happen. Ive tried bloody hard aswell, i got the work Corsa van sideways no problem, but not this. Not tried in the wet yet though, ill give it a go some time.

your 200 should do high 13s sqm unless there is something seriously wrong with it??...are you sure its not the short gearing making the pug feel quicker than it actually is?

You need any parts? They've just got a black 205 GTi in A1 Autoparts in Indigo business park on the Oil Sites Roads in Ellesmere Port. It's just come in and is complete.

I want to fit some drag slicks to the nissan cause ive got some urge to go dragging, then we could see whats its capable of. I've had good experience with Nitto Drag Radials. They are great Daily Drivers too. Mileage is around 15-20K tho' because of the compound (depending how you drive) They warm up well, grip well from a dig, and soon gets you hooked into dragging. Northhants tyres can supply, or you can import yourself.

Ive no Rally liscense Craig, and couldnt justify the spending involved. Id prefer to go circuit tin top racing anyway, or competitive drifting if i had the skills.
Ill look into them camaroz if i do decide to go dragging. Id be tempting to buy some cheap tyres with a high profile on some wide rims like 15x8's though. I wouldnt be taking it serious so i dunno if id want to spend on drag tyres id only ever use once a year.
