Hi all,
Was recently given a small coin collection and my interest is growing by the day.
Would anyone have any odd, old, spare coins or coin sets or even collections they no longer want or need?
Obviously not asking for them for free but I'm not very knowledgeable so anything reasonably cheap would be good but I'm happy to pay.
If anyone has any, give me a shout.

There are plenty on ebay but like anything else, prices fluctuate over the years, so you need to be a bit careful. Try a pawn broker.

Thanks granny,
I'm not thinking gold or silver like i would imagine a pawn broker would have.
Just things like old UK coins or coin sets etc.
Even just a box or bag of mixed coins that i could spend a while sorting through - that kind of thing.

Saw a programme this afternoon. Roman coins are pretty worthless, due to the vast quantities unearthed, but I would love a Roman coin, just to handle and do a bit of time travel.
I'm sure someone will have some old bits and pieces for you.

Hopefully.
I'm not really into roman coins either.
Old english predecimal stuff is what interests me.
Shillings, crowns, farthings, groats etc.
I'm amazed at how far they go back.
I think I'm going to try and get some date runs - from fhe first year minted up to the last or current.
