Hi all
Does anyone have a estimate on how much it would cost to widen of loft hatch?
The one we have is in between the joists and its to small so would involve cutting one joist I think
Thanks
Ian

Somewhere around £120 labour would be average for a proper chippy, specialist loft installers will usually charge more, there are a lot a variables on the materials depending on what you want.
High ceilings, awkward access, above staircase or lath and plaster ceilings might knock the price up a bit.
Its not a bad job for a handyman but he'd take longer than a proper chippy so its swings and roundabouts depending how cheap he is.
