You could try New Ferry Tools who sells second-hand tools, I've had some amazing bargains there. Unless you specifically need 12-point sockets, a set of impact sockets (£11 for 8 HERE) and ratchet handle bought separately on ebay can make for a really robust kit at a moderate price and extension bars are cheap too.
