Many may have seen this, but in case you haven't , as it;s Christmas time there will be lots of puppies in such places. Please don't help to keep the awful practice booming.
Do you know what the red box on the front of each cage is for? This red box can be filled with enough food/water to last 7 days. That means the puppy mill owner can stock those red boxes, walk away, and won't have to return for 7 days. Many owners even turn the lights off in those stinky barns so they can save on electricity. That's not much of a life, is it? Don't buy puppies online and don't buy from a pet store, because you are supporting puppy mills.
Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. ~Chief Seattle
A lot of these puppies are taken from their mothers too early and don't get given vaccinations, and the puppies soon become ill and die becuse they are not properly looked after before they are sold.
From 6 April 2020 it will be illegal to sell a puppy or kitten under six months old that you haven’t bred yourself. This doesn’t apply to animal rehoming charities.
Oh my word, Thats dreadful.Ive seen programmes highlighting such places so why do people still support them by buying puppies from them. The penaltys should be more severe not only to the so called breeders but to the buyers as well. My only hope is that some of these puppies have gone to loving homes but Im sorry to say most dont survive .
I THINK THEY ARE STE BUT SOMEONE HAS TO REPORT THEM OR MAYBE DO RANDOM CHECKS BEFORE THEYRE FOUND. I WOULD LOVE ANOTHER DOG BUT VET BILLS ARE SO HIGH.I CAN PRODUCE BILLS FOR MORE THAN 8K FOR TREATMENT FOR 3 OUT OF 4 OF MY DOGS.NOT WORKING NOW SO COULDNT AFFORD IT & I DONT KNOW OF ANY INSURANCE COMPANY WHO WOULD INSURE A RESCUE DOG AS NO KNOWN HISTORY.
RSPCA get over 4000 reports a year, they can't afford to prosecute or even investigate them all and when they do take people to court they get lambasted for doing so.
The problem is partly the silly money people pay for dogs, they are often bred abroad and imported because the price still allows for a huge profit. There is no shortage of dogs, why pay crazy prices for them? It does nothing but encourage illegal trading.
I've not known any problems insuring dogs, insurance companies like to take money off you.

There is no shortage of dogs, why pay crazy prices for them?.
Nothing more than a status symbol the ones people are paying £4000 for, especially bulldogs and those frenchies. Most people buy them legitimately and then there's the people that pay stupid money for them.
