Yea as title, I am thinking of drilling some plastic but does anyone know of any ways to stop it chipping/cracking? Infact maybe a different method other than drilling that could make it more accurate may be the best?

I dont know

When drilling number plates (Plastic) i use masking tape to mark the spot, pilot drill first at high speed and then use the desired drill bit/size and yet again at high speed. Dont use a blunt drill bit as it will melt the plastic rather than drill the hole.

What are you drilling ??

You can get a drill bit that is normal looking, and has a tiny head on it that goes in first, before the rest goes through. I use it for metal, it's amazing, and it goes into plastic really cleanly.

I'm not sure, imagine a drill bit, with a tiny little square point on the end. I've had it for a while, and it hasn't dulled yet either.

Or you could use one of these:
