Had some trouble with me Sky+ skipping sound last night and reminded me of summit else that
really pisses me off with technology:
When manufacturers have something that works, and then continually try to push the limits of it to provide more features etc, but then fookin end up wrecking the stability of the product!
NTL, when they released CR3 for instance, managed to bring all their boxes literally grinding to halt for two years lol!
Sky with their Amstrad PVR2 Sky+ boxes, they worked absolutely fine for years; then all of a sudden, about a year or so ago, they released another software update, and now maybe 40% of the time, there is continous breaks in sound on certain channels, and they have never worked out why its happening.
Its actually so rediculous, that there is a 100+ page thread on Digital Spy, with hundreds of people having the same problem, and BBC Panorama now investigating how they managed to fook it up!
But it happens with everything, every software company, cPanel for instance, people used to be scared shitless of updating to the latest software revision because the supposed STABLE releases, were very rarely stable, in fact EDGE releases tended to be more stable for a long time.
Does my fookin head in, why cant they just leave software alone when it works, why dont they test things properly, and if it detracts from the usability of the product DONT FOOKIN RELEASE IS

I dont want a million and one features that I dont give a shit about, I just want a product that works!! Lol!
