Been on the top of the Stratosphere in Vegas, not on the rides tho!! They have 3 up there, the one in the pic sends you OVER the side ansd another takes you round the perimiter then UP THE TOP of the spire and stops dead until you roll back!!! Its all lit at night and you can see the cars going round!!Great to see. It is also a revolving restaurant, highest in the world, realy disorientating, one minute you are looking down the strip, the next into the desert!!

Its actually VERY hard to design a coaster,to push it to the limits and still keep momentum. The only way a lot of coasters do it, is by using stop brakes etc Knightmare at Camelot, Spinball Whizzer at Alton), but for real well designed coasters, they dont need, and instead use nothing but a lifthill/launch and gravity to propel them.

Best ride for me-the round one opposite the wooden coaster at southport. A ring with individual 2 seat cars on an axis. And you spin forward+ back sumtimes right over. My only ìssue- once i had a 'wardrobe malfunction' waiting for the hydralic seatbeat to lift. People laughing in the queue but there nowt i could do coz cudnt move to adjust my clothes. V.v embarrassing-bet im on youtube somewhere! Lol

Don't remember it, sounds a bit like an Evolution - if you mean its opposite the Cyclone, that was demolished when PBB let Southport go to the dogs im afraid, despite a massive campaign by Dreamland and local residents to save it.
NPL is a shadow of the former Pleasureland, I havent been there properly but had a mooch around when in Southport once, iirc they even got rid of Storm this season, so even less reason for me to go there. Think storm was only a ZL42 piece of junk but at least it was a proper coaster lol.

i went for a nose around the ruins of Southport Pleasure Beach back in November. most of it was in ruins and only a small number of rides remained (like the dinosaur one before that got torched)and the old funhouse. other bit's included the go kart track and the small train stop for the pleasure beach now hidden next to a skate park.
