Everton FC secure work permit for Ever Banega EVERTON have been given a major boost after their application for a work permit for Ever Banega was successful. The Blues want to bring the Valencia midfielder to Goodison on a season-long loan and they have moved one step closer to that outcome after a positive hearing in London.
Though Banega is an Argentine international, he had not fulfilled the necessary criteria of having played in more than 75 per cent of his country’s games in the last two years.
However, Banega has now obtained the required documents after Everton officials stated a compelling case on his behalf.
The 21-year-old is highly rated in Argentina and started his career at Boca Juniors before he joined Valencia last January in a deal worth 18million euros.
But things did not go according to plan at The Mestalla and he ended up spending last season on loan at Atletico Madrid.
Provided the move goes through, Banega would have to wait to make his debut for the Blues until next weekend at the earliest, as he played in Valencia’s 3-0 Europa League triumph over Norwegian side Stabaek IF on Thursday evening.
