Stupid..perhaps ?
I picked up an email from a friend (and MORE stupidily !) replied, and complained about her VERY POOR ENGLISH !
Now, I can't access/reply to any of my email addresses, without this little " tuck on "..advertising electrical goods !
How do I get rid of it ? (I am aware that if I send an email,it will RIP through their address book as well as mine, AGAIN !)
I am with hotmail. Do I, write all my previous contacts in longhand, (GROAN )and then delete everyone? Then, set up a new account and new ID ? (BIGGER,and MASSIVE GROAN !)
Lovely, Techies" on the Wirral, like the Lone Ranger & Tonto ?, will come to my rescue ?
My regards to you all. xx
PS..I am THICK..ish !

Might not have been your mates email but looks like you've picked up a trojan. Someone on here will help eventually, be patient. Unfortunately I'm not all that clued up on this subject either. Good luck.
If you can down load a programme called Adaware (its free) and let it do a clean it might sort the prob out for you, I use it and it is excellent.

First off go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ and do an online scan to see if you have picked up any nasties.

Download Spybot It is free and spot on. The on line scans tell you the world is about to end and they will sort it out for a price.

Nothing ever works-you're up sh*t creek without a paddle. You might need to get all your stuff re-installed-Yeah I'm no expert and it shows but at least I won't make out I know stuff when I don't.

I would often just advice...in IE click on Tools, Internet Options and in the dialog box click on 'clear browsing history on exit'. If that doesn't work....
The bad news: Sadly, you need a new e-mail address. It is far simply and will save you the time and bother in the long run. Inform your friends that you have a new account and close down the one that is hacked.
The good news: Your computer is not harmed. It's just the e-mail account.
...and be careful in future!
