Ive posted this question before but put it in the wrong section. Does anyone know where the stork villa pub was? One of my ancestors was the licensee there many moons ago. Wondering if it was the original Rockville????? not sure though.

are you sure it wasn't the Stork Hotel near Hamilton Square
Villa sounds more of a house name
any sort of address and date known

The Rockville was called the "Rock Villa Hotel" at one time (check 1891 census), many people in the area still call it that.

You forget that I am the font of all knowledge, well at least on using google searches.
I think I just threw "Villa Hotel" and Wirral into google, it came back with "Rock Villa Hotel" for a darts team or something.
Then threw "Rock Villa Hotel" in and up popped the census.
If you put 1891 Census into the search as well its going to narrow it down. Love google, always a challenge to get your search focussed.

From 1891 at least the pub has been Rock Villa/Rockville
