Most junior teams play in either the Wallasey League or Eastham League try googling them and emailing enquiry about teams and who to contact. Think a few parents on wikiwirral have sons playing for junior teams and they can tell you which teams are nearest to you. From when my kids used to play be prepared to travel around Wirral. I think you'll find the top teams very selective on how good a player he is to get in one. Has he asked his schoolmates? http://www.wirraldistrictfa.com/WJFLindex.htmlhttp://www.ourkidssports.com/Leagues/profile/id/42

You can usually catch a team training in the park by the main gates, they are there on a saturday morning I think, have you asked at Birkenhead Boys Club (watson st) they might be able to put you in touch with someone.

Ashville have a youth setup that runs all the way up to under 19, visit the website for background on the club and you can contact the club secretary john lawrenson who will pass you to the correct youth team 01516301637, hope this helps

http://www.ourkidssports.com/Regions/leagues/id/4/SportsCat/9Try this one too...this were I found a club for my son to join. Going on what you've said...they go up to 11 a side after the age 10. So I suspect that most club will be looking for more players.
