I've just started reading the Oxford English Dictionary. Not much of a story but at least you get everything explained as you go along. Haven't worked at who dunnit yet, but I've a feeling it might be the zombie... Or someone called Collins?

Reading 'Easter' by Wirral Author Michael Arditti (Winner of Mardi Gras&Waterstones Book Award.Cover says magnificent novel but devastating portrait of Church of England.Just finished 'Jubilate'Written by him, about a love affair in Lourdes-This was a very well-written and funny book as well as the serious issues.Have also got on order at local library, 'Celibate' by same Author. He gave Readings recently of his work at The Bluecoat Liverpool, and if comes to Wirral I will post on forum.Been to Bath May2011 so read Jane Austen 'Persuasion'.

Has anyone read from cover to cover and fully understood James Joyce 'Ulysses'? I have tried but kept getting bogged down.Think 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man' is a good introduction to Joyce as much easier to read.
I like Wilde, Shaw,O'Casey and Yeats

Just read books on William Pitt The Younger,Mussolini, Italy's Sorrow.I was shocked by reading of the hardships of WW11 Italy Campaign. Had no idea, as my Dad would never talk of his wartime experiences in Italy and North Africa, so I am catching up now.The WW11 Poet Keith Douglas is as good,or even better than some famous WW1 Poets. You can buy a volume of his best works for under £4 on the internet. He was a tank commander at El Alamein and died in his mid-twenties at D Day landings. I read about eight books a fortnight.

Hi Jabber. The Dragon Tattoo films were some of the best films I have seen for quite some time, but I could not get into the books and found them boring. Love FACT Cinema in Liverpool. Try to read a book and see the film to compare.
