Anyone here into Mountain biking, I have been a few times, but would like to get together with a few people and start going more often.

I'd be interested in getting back into cycling, have both a MTB and a road bike, just don't get out on them enough

I suppose I prefer road cycling to off road, although it all depends on my mood.
Mostly I prefer riding my road bike though, find MTBs heavy and bulky

Not to bothered really, I use slicks for the road or I have a choice of either Continental or Maxxis for off road (contnnental for thw wirral way)
Avg around 17-18mph in a 14 mile bike ride.
Lost a total of 2 stone doing that aswell.

Wow, well done Phil, the thought of losing a bit of weight has motivated me, could do with dropping a stone, hell get real two stone lol.
I'm gonna get myself out today and not let any excuses get in the way for a change.

Thanks Ian. Done the Marin Trail near Betsy Co Ed today, was tough at the start is an epic climb (2 mile) near death at the top of it. Hi People, Right, who has got a bike and wants to lose weight/build stamina? Am thinking seacombe ferry to new brighton and back just for exercise and meet WIKI friends. (NOT A RACE!!!!!!).Lets say every Friday at the ferry 6.30pm just for a ride. I am up for that BUT GOT TO WORK AWAY IN EDINBURGH FOR 3 WEEKS FROM TOMORROW(wednesday)so maybe someone can carry this on from friday or give me your names and in 3 weeks we can do it, bring the kids and bikes. all welcome just cycle and ride, free exercise and fun and meet. Who is up for it???? PS. if you smoke like i do get ur last smoke in at the ferry till u get back to seacombe (Just a thought, want to pack in aswell and get fresh air into my lungs) Mike N Charlie, who is up for that????

Friday at that time is a no no for me as I may still be in work.
Am free weekends but will have a 9 mile ride to Seacome via the coast then do the ride twice then ride back.
I will be riding from Parkgate round the coast to Eastham on Saturday morning (dependent on weather) if of any help I will log down the mileage of the route to help Wikiwirral people to gauge a ride.
