Back then you could only have your first child in hospital.Further babies had to be born at home,or for those who could afford it they would go to a private maternity and nursing home.

Phew ,I'm back Bert.1949! The info is, it is that persons birth and is what she was told by her Mum.

Sorry but that is nonsense. I am one of nine and all were born in Highfield, starting in 1940. Seen this before where someone suggested you could only have the first in hospital. I would suggest it was a private nursing home for those who could afford it.
