Depends on the timing of changing at Birkenhead North and any delays on the trains. it would be easier for me to get to work if my car was unavailable as I live near Wallasey Village and work in Hoylake so instead of lugging my laptop and handbag on a bus and two trains then one bus, although it could be maybe 10 mins longer, would be a godsend.

I think it is a good route.I can be out after midnight and get 39 from Leasowe Station and then walk for 15 mins when I get off the bus. Going to Waterloo tonight so I am able to have a drink and leave car at home.
I would have thought a connection to New Brighton Train would be easy from Wallasey Village Station though not looked at timetables yet to see if worth just staying on the bus.
