Can anyone remember the name of the butcher which used to be on Woodchurch Rd, close to where the Post Office used to be ?
I'm sure that it was family owned and not a chain such as Dewhurst.

Jones the butcher was a couple of doors up from post office and dewhursts was in the next block up. I worked on woodchurch road in the mid 70's to early 80's opposite that side of the road

Thanks Chris. I *thought* that it was Jones and then convinced myself that I was getting mixed up with Dad's Army. Was it still Jones up until the point that it closed ? Thanks. Phil.

As far as I know Phil. Jones the butchers had a few shops I can remember one in oxton road and grange road west.
