Does anyone know when the motor boat hire started/ended?
I think the hire of motor boats stopped sometime before the rowing boat hire stopped - maybe it was due to a fuel crisis of the time?
Any picures of the hire boats out there??

I'm rather surprised that no-one has responded to my query - maybe I can 'help things along' by saying that I've now found a couple of my own fotos, dated 1977, which show the motorboats "anchored out" in strings, as they always had to be when there was a high tide.
Surely someone remembers when they stopped running?
(I was living out of the area in the eighties)

I'm surprised too, Jack; surely someone must have the answers.
