I've just been looking at the Hoylake beach webcam, and noticed there's some sort of festival going on down there. There's crowds of people, stalls etc. I've looked through the local press and can't find any information on upcoming events, which is a shame - I wouldn't have minded going for a mooch if I'd known, as a lot of other people probably would.
Does anyone know what's going on?

Ive just looked at this and it looks like the lifeboat event which took place on monday which I attended. Also I had a look at these web cams on monday and the 2 showing it today were not on!!! Strange.

How wierd! I hope no one looks today and makes the journey there...only to find a deserted prom and beach! Haha!

I saw it too, but I'd assumed it was just a snapshot of a previous festival because the weather on the cam didn't match up with the weather on Sunday
