hi does anyone know of anywhere with a tech2 thing that isn't a vauxhall dealership?
bought an 07 astra 1.4 sxi coupe and the blurb about it says it has a trip computer and aux port.
neither of which i have available to me.
so i was wondering if anyone could recommend someone with a tech2 that can link it up and see what's going on???

Vauxcare in birkenhead. They are next to screwfix off the new Chester road. I use them all the time because they won't rip you off.

Vauxcare have a tech2 but he's never done either of the jobs so wouldn't do it.
just gave vauxhall in Ellesmere port a ring. been quoted £60-70 for both jobs (aux port and trip comp) which is very reasonable i think.
will look to book it in with them in a week or two and get it sorted.

Have you tried a Vauxhall owners forum? Over in the Pug community we have Lexia equipment which is the same as what the dealers use and we also get asked to activate trip computers, cruise control, and aux ports on the stereo, and we have a map of owners: Planet Owners Map We generally charge anything from a fiver upwards.

tried a load of forums... now bought the part online for £11 but will need to book the car in to be looked at.
read online in a load of places it's a fairly quick and cheap job. will ask them to tech2 the trip comp in while they're at it...
