Here's a question for those of you who were rock fans in the late 60s/early 70s . Looking through the sleeve notes for a Genesis album , I came across a picture of a telegram confirming a booking for the band at the Tomorrow club in Liscard. The date is obscured, but from what I know of the band I think it was possibly 1971 or early 72. Can anyone tell me where this club was ?

For a couple of years in the early 1970s the Capitol Ballroom (above the cinema in Liscard Village) was known as the Tomorrow Club. Genesis played there on 9 October 1970. Thin Lizzy played there on 16 April 1971 as part of their first English tour.

Radio Merseyside DJ Billy Butler and his partner Chris Wharton ran the Capital Ballroom at this time and Billy has often spoke about booking Genesis and thin Lizzy at the venue (he states he paid them £90.00 that night.
