Can anybody shed any light on what they propose to do here. Heron road Meols I.E.What did the Saughall Massie bypass have to do with Heron road?

If you type "saughall massie bypass map" into Google it brings up a small map of the bypass all the way from Upton to Newton. As we know, the bypass only runs to the roundabout at Pump Lane and Heron Road, the latter is a bendy twisty rat run to Hoylake, so maybe the bypass will avoid that and run directly into Hoylake, maybe along Carr Lane? Found a news report from 2003 here, will keep digging: http://www.chesterchronicle.co.uk/news/local-news/bypass-go-ahead-sparks-new-fears-5306893 That will be fun,all that traffic at Hoylake level crossing it's bad enough at the moment.I can still see traffic going along Heron road to get to Meols and Hoylake.I wonder if they might be going past Carr hall farm garden center,they have had a lot of work done,and come onto Birkenhead road before you get to Heron road,anywhere else would mean another rail crossing.

Is it that bad it needs a bypass? I journey it in mornings and afternoons sometimes and never had any problems of queuing at Meols. Photo op for Esther
